Cecilia's cool outfit!

Cheechaloo is definitely getting the school thing down!
She got up this morning:
took a shower (used to be a chore)
did some homework(that she even considered it!)
ate a healthy breakfast (never been an issue)
fixed her hair(used to be a chore)
put her very well matching outfit together (also something she loves to do)

Here's her thinking on this costum du jour:
Brown skirt goes with brown dots on her favorite angel purse, turquoise in the socks that Grandma got her also goes with turquoise in favorite angel purse and the checkers in the sock are like the dots in the purse even though they are checkers--I like that mirror patterns---and the polka dot shoes from Grandma are also like the dots on her purse. She is also wearing her Obama pin and noticed that the brown of Obama's face also works well with the other browns in her ensemble.
Now, no matter who you'll vote for, you gotta love the thoughtfulness of this girl's outfit.
She had such fun with it! Doesn't she look ready?!
Me?
Oh, I just put on my old sweater and a raggedy ol' skirt, but before I go out again, I'm gonna spruce it up, Cecilia Style,

Jazzy is really Jazzy

DadadadadadadadadadadadadaBatman!

Do you remember when you learned an instrument? or was learning something
new at the tender age of 12? Look at this girl she has come so far in just a year!
The part I like best about this videao is that there is a period of time where
she forgets all about being taped and just gets into the flow of the music.
That place is the place of Magic!

The Girlies at the Goat Farm...

Fraga Farm is located on Pleasant Valley Road in Sweet Home, Oregon. The Girls and I took a road trip down there to meet Janice Nielson in order to produce a story for The Food Show. She had previously won the I think it was First Place for her fabulous Goatzarella Cheese, which is really a perfect and ingenious blend like a chevre flavored Mozz. At the time Fraga Farms was only one of three organic goat cheese producers in Oregon.

I am really glad to have this blog now so that I can post some of the audio gems I have of all of the places I have been to do stories.
The following audio is a treasure I found of Chooch and her magnificient laughter and Jazzle convincing me to bring a goat home with me--Yeah, right!

Enjoy! I still laugh when I hear this. Oops the school bell is going to be ringing soon and I still haven't had a shower today--a luxury of staying home, well, for me anyway,
Love, Marliese

Love my Goils and learning about loving self.

Hello All!
I am so happy to get this blog started. There is so much going on in life here in Portland Oregon that I would love to share and also to meet people from all over the world.

As I now see it, my little slice of the blogosphere will be filled with silliness, dorkiness and of course lvoe and stories!

I have recently FINALLY quit smoking cigarettes. How do I know for sure for the last time? Hmmm. Don't really, but I can honestly say this time is different. It's like all of the times I have tried and failed, lied to myself, snuck cigarettes behind even my own back and went to bed with disappointment because another day has come and gone without me quitting...
If you have smoked or been slave to any addiction you know what I am talking about.
And who has NO addictions?
Even my goody two shoes friend Willion (Rhymes with Bullion) who has never smoked anything--drank alcohol, has a weakness-freckled bananas-and they make him sick as a dog!
Put them away when he comes over because they will never make to your banana bread.

I am going for a run, another thing I am doing for my new health fo non smoking. I know, this change thing is...
